Live Life in Purpose

Are you new here? I have been away for a little while. (Life happened.)

Well, first of all welcome! Thanks for following and joining me in my ramblings!

You can read my profile and find out all about me if you wish. If not, that’s okay too. I’m just happy that you are here! It's been a while for me, but I am excited to be back.

Wondering what this page is about? It's a bit of a mishmash of thoughts about life, family, business, and faith.

Life on purpose…What does that actually mean?

As I was creating this, my son asked, “What does that mean, exactly?  You say it all the time, but what’s it mean?”

Thank you, son for keeping me grounded! Often we become so wrapped up in our thoughts that we forget that others are not part of our internal conversation. As women, our minds are on 100 different things at a time, and most of the time, no one else is aware. There is a line from the movie “P.S. I Love You” where the husband says to his wife, “Which conversation? The one we’re actually having or the one you’re having in your head?”  (guilty here)

Life on purpose means that we choose the life we want; that we make decisions and choices with intention. I have met so many people who allow life to run over them, circumstances to determine their path. They wake up one day and wonder how they got where they are when it isn’t even close to their original dream.

Well, it happens when we’re not paying attention, when we’re not living our lives on purpose.

If we are going to start living life on purpose, we should probably start by determining that purpose.

What is it you want? What do you dream about, or did you dream about before you stopped? What makes your heart happy?

There is a blueprint on each soul, designed with a passion and a purpose, and that soul is endowed with the gifts and abilities to achieve that purpose. Are you living yours?  If not, do you want to?

My life has taken many twists and turns, some were of my own choosing, but many were thrust upon me. It took me a while to look at these changes as opportunities instead of problems. Regardless of where you are right now, you can make choices for change. While I am 100% certain that where I am today is not remotely close to where I expected to be, it is exactly where I should be and that makes me happy. In spite of all of the hardships, changes, and losses, I have never lost that which is most important to me...my faith and the view of the world that it gives me; my desire to help others in their journey toward wholeness and holiness.

You can, you know. Change your entire path with one decision.

Perhaps that first decision for some might be to believe it to be true.

Now is the only time we have, so use it wisely.

Life on Purpose.

This moment is always the only moment we have, so choosing to act rather than waiting to see what happens can make all the difference.

Join me here every Thursday for accountability…for encouragement…for a little inspiration, and maybe some laughter.  I am beginning again too, so let’s take this moment together and decide to live life on purpose!
